So the trades were made and the deeds were given The Devil put thorns on the cactus and longhorns on the steers. He dried up old springs and the windmills broke down, They was all so poor that they had to be fed. He built mountains so high that a pack jack can't climb, And there's many an old cowboy that has rode up that trail |
